What Others Are Saying About Simple Spirituality

"I've been leading a Simple Spirituality group for 7 months. This is the first group I've led and I'm really enjoying it. We are a group of about 12 women (ranging from age 18 to whatever), who meet twice a month. We do one practice each week and we're halfway through the practices for the 2nd time.

What I love about it is this: Simple Spirituality has a very simple, straightforward format that anyone can follow, yet it is also deeply profound in hitting the HEART of a real relationship with God. It gives people an opportunity to talk honestly and openly about their struggles, joys, questions, fears, hopes and strengths with regards to their relationship with God. This program is rare in that it actually takes you from "what do I know in my head?", to "how am I living this and making it REAL in my daily life, inside my heart?" I love how everyone fits into this group, from the person who's been a Christian for years, to the person who just wants to know more about who God is. Everyone is welcome and everyone contributes, so the playing field is level. It's amazing how much you grow when you share your story, and listen to others with respect."

Carol Allard, Seattle

"We started a Simple Spirituality Group for women at our church almost one year ago. The group has been successful in helping us learn to listen to one another. There are not many places where you can be listened to! The seven practices help us pay attention to our journey and notice how we can incorporate God into our everyday lives. We have begun to see how with practice we can recognize where we do and where we don't get our faith from our head to our hearts."

Rose Swetman, Pastor Vineyard Community Church, Seattle

"I read Barb's Simple Spirituality booklet last night and was quite taken by it. I think you've developed an approach that would help Christians and the missing to listen and learn and grow together. That's quite an accomplishment"
